Topic: THE PLACE OF GLORY….Part 5
Text: Romans 8:18KJV
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
In Part four, we discussed how to know or identify the place of glory and that is by revelation with scriptural examples from Abraham (God told him to leave his father’s house to a place he would show him) and Isaac (God spoke to him in a dream not to go to Egypt but remain where he was despite the famine in the land).
Today we want to discuss on how to get to the place of glory. For you to get to your place of glory you need to follow God’s leading.
All through the journey of the children of Israel from Egypt to the promise land, God led them. In the time of Moses, the presence of God was always with them instructing Moses what to do and where to go per time. Exodus 13:21 affirmed this saying
“And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:”
When Moses was gone and Joshua took over, God was still leading them, in Joshua 1:2-3
"Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses."
Now some things are very crucial to follow the leading of God, one of them is absolute obedience. For God to be able to successfully lead you to your place of glory, you need to be completely obedient to him. Why?
* Your journey will be fast: The disobedience of the Israelites to God’s leading caused them dearly turning a journey that should have been 40 days to the promise land to 40 years. So if you are obedient your journey to the place of glory will be fast
* Your journey is sure to end well: Not everyone who embarked on the journey to the promise land made it, many of the Israelites died in the wilderness due to disobedience. So if you obey God, you are sure to victoriously get to your place of glory. God bless you
* Father, lead me to my place of glory and help me to absolutely obey as you lead me in Jesus Name
