PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
19th March, 2021.
Topic: UNCORRECTABLE MISTAKE.
Text: Luke 16:27,28.

27: Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

This series of teaching has been a blessing, God through his Spirit has been expanding his words in my spirit. The feedback we get shows that the teaching is transforming lives.

Factually all mistakes can be corrected expect one. There is one that is UNCORRECTABLE, even God will do nothing about it. Please follow me patiently. Our text is a record of Lazarus and the rich man; this is an account of a true life event: some people thought it is a parable, of course not, how do I know? Look at verse 19: There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: give attention to the first statement ‘ there was a certain rich ‘, it means the man actually existed,

And in verse 20: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores. It also means that Lazarus also existed. The passage didn’t began by, ‘ He told them a parable ‘ or ‘ He gave a parable ‘, this justifies my proof that it was a true life event. Jesus never exaggerated.

Please remember that MISTAKE is defined as MIS TAKE as in Misunderstand, mismanaged meaning wrongly managed, so Mistake is wrongly taken; decision wrongly taken. The rich man was right in many of his decisions, he probably was right in his choice marriage, his choice of career, his business was doing well, he most likely must have taken right decisions that brought him prosperity in life, but he took wrong decision about HIS SOUL, and that is the greatest mistake anyone could make.

How do I know that this mistake is UNCORRECTABLE? In verse 28 the rich man pleaded for his family members, when he knew it was too late for him, he knew there is amount of plead that can avert the punishment of his mistake, he knew he was doomed forever, his soul is lost forever so he pleaded: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

And his request was not granted, rather, father Abraham gave him the right answer in verse 30: Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. What does that mean? The only avenue God made for men to hear the gospel is through pastors and other preachers, no provision for a dead man to come and tell them about hell or heaven. For if you will not believe us you will not believe a resurrected man.

Your wealth, certificates, your achievement, your properties, everything you’ve got will soon be a waste. If you will not make wise decision to save your soul from hell, you will blame yourself like the rich man. Prayers are not answered in hell fire, that’s the reason God will not be able to help anyone in hell. The prayers of the rich man in hell were not answered. There is no mercy in hell, it is only here, on Earth, you can receive mercy for sins.

Anyone who dies is gone forever, no prayer for the dead, we can’t be here forever, eternity is calling on all of us. Please don’t lose your soul like the rich man. Accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour and abstain from sin. If you miss heaven you will cry bitterly. TAKE WISE DECISION FOR YOUR SOUL.

PRAYER.
* If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and saviour, invite Jesus into your life today.
* If you have, ask for grace to live holy and rapturable.
