Topic: HANDLING MISTAKES …part 7.
Text: Jeremiah 18:4.
4: And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
For everyone of us God has a plan, and a purpose. There is an expected end for each of us. The word ‘ marred means destroyed, God wants to fix any life that is having issue, any life that is destroyed.
As the Potter made the destroyed vessel into another vessel, so does God makes a spoilt life into a glorious one.
I want to emphasize the statement, ‘ as seemed good to the Potter ‘, there is a desire in the heart of God for all of us.
He is committed to bringing the best out of us, making us into what he seems good, as we leave our lives in his hands, he makes them into what seems good.
When God rates something good obviously it will be excellent in the sight men. The best of our lives is manifested when God handles them.
Let me show you something in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Take note of the phrase ‘ an expected end ‘, it means never mind the means, the means might not be pleasant, the journey may be rough, the process may be tough, but the end will justify the means.
Rough and tough times do not connote a bad end, no matter what you are going through now I giving you your expected end. Your expectations will be cut short.
Look at the same passage in Amplified version: For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Take note of the sentence ‘ to give you hope in your final outcome ‘, I see God saying, ‘ I will give you hope in your final outcome never mind what you are going through now ‘. Your life which appear to be in error I will make it again into another to give you hope in your final outcome. God bless you.
