Text : 2 Timothy 1-10
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Mind is defined as the seat of faculty of reason, it is responsible for one’s thoughts and feelings. It plays a major role in the life of anyone, somebody with a dull mind cannot go far in life, a sound mind actually makes the difference between the poor and the rich. A man is not poor because he lacks money, but because he lacks a sound mind.
A man who lacks money but possesses a sound mind will soon get into wealth, while a man who inherited wealth but possesses a dull mind will soon run into debt. Soundness of mind is a major tool for handling challenges,
HOW TO IDENTIFY A MAN WITH A SOUND MIND.
* Soundness of speech: he makes sense each time he talks, his words are seasoned with salt.
* Well presented : he is always well presented, he dresses well and nice, he does not have to wear expensive things to look good.
* Proper management: his life is well managed, he is not disorganized.
* He is not scared of challenges because he will soon find himself out.
* He avoids procrastination.
* He takes responsibilities.
* He is very productive.
* He is a value adder.
* He encourages others.
* He cannot be stranded.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: It is only God that gives sound mind, and He gives His children; those who are born again.
