Topic: YIELDING YOUR MEMBERS TO GOD
text. : Romans 6:1-23
Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your
members as instruments of
unrighteousness unto sin: but yield
yourselves unto God, as those that are alive
from the dead, and your members as
instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye
yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether
of sin unto death, or of obedience unto
righteousness?
Every man inherited sinful nature from
Adam since his fall, that nature is contrary
to the original nature God gave man at
creation. This necessitate the birth, death
and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christ
came to restore us to the life of God and to
take us back to that nature. The body every
man carries takes delight in sinful acts, the
eyes will always want to see everything;
moral or immoral, the flesh rises to lust, the
heart of a carnal man imagines evil things.
Everyone who desires the life of God must
first accept the sacrifice of Christ on the
cross, and must yield his members (body) to
God as instruments of righteousness,
putting our bodies under control aids our
victory over temptations. Three major
things battle with our souls through the
body they are; lust of the eye, lust of the
flesh, and pride of life. These 3 weapons of
the devil aim at getting us out of the life of
God. It is important to know that; the carnal
man cannot please God, Romans 8:8.
Everyone who takes his worship to God
seriously, must not yield to the dictates of
the flesh. Do not allow the desires of your
flesh send you to hell.
PRAYER.
* Lord help me to yield my members (body)
to your always .
