17th September
Topic: SIGHT OF FAITH
Text: Genesis 13: 7-18 KJV
14. And the LORD said unto Abram, after
that Lot was separated from him, Lift up
now thine eyes, and look from the place
where thou art northward, and southward,
and eastward, and westward:
15. For all the land which thou seest, to thee
will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16. And I will make thy seed as the dust of
the earth: so that if a man can number the
dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also
be numbered.
There used to be a saying that the more you look the less you see, this however is not the case with God’s word. The more you look into the perfect law of liberty (The word of God), the more you see yourself in the light of His word and proportionately the more you possess your inheritance in Him.
In our text today, God told Abraham to look to the north, south, east and west, that all that he saw were his. Let me simply put that as far Abraham could see that was as far as he could possess.
Dearly beloved, how far can you see with your eyes of faith? Do you only see the failure of the past? Your present challenges? Your lack of money? Your present health issues? Your inability to secure a good job? The present economic situation of the country? You need to see beyond the above stated limitations, see with the eyes of faith that the plan of God for you is for peace and not evil (Jeremiah 29:11), that all things work together for your good (Romans 8:28), that God makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11), that eyes have not seen nor ears heard what God has prepared for you (1 Corinthians 2:9), that it is well with you (Isaiah 3:10) because as far as you can see with your eyes of faith (through God’s word) that is how far you can possess what God has prepared for you. 1. Father help me see with the eyes of faith
2. Open my spiritual eyes to see what you have in stock for me
3. I rise above all limitations of this world and take my place in Christ in Jesus Name
