Text : Joshua 1: 5
5: There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Moses’ conversation with God on mount Horeb shows the absence of self confidence in Moses. Moses saw enough reasons why he wasn’t qualified for the task, he saw his incompetence. Someone may feel absent of self-confidence is weakness, but on the other hand, it’s a show of absolute reliance on God.
Moses was raised for this reason, but he understood that without divine assistance he would achieve not.
Remember Moses killed an Egyptian before he ran away from Egypt I expected that he would jump for joy when God called him to go to Pharaoh because his dream has been the libration of Israelites from Egypt, but rather, he knew that his wisdom and knowledge about Egypt and Pharaoh will achieve nothing.
Moses grew up in the palace of pharaoh, it is expected that he knew details of kingship in Egypt, rather, he put aside all that and chose to rely of divine assistance for the unique assignment.
I see God saying; Moses I will give you this, I will give you that, Aaron will follow you, my angel shall go with you. But I see Moses responded by saying; I have no confidence in any angel or anybody including myself, Just follow me.
Moses knew God can’t be with him and the red sea stops them, he understood that who is Pharaoh when God is with him. Moses knew a man’s life is made when God is with him.
He knew that the absence of God in a man’s life is the absence of grace. When God’s presence depart from a man his life becomes terrible. Go and ask Samson, king Saul, King Uzaiah, Nebuchadnezzar will give you details of how he ended up in the bush.
Do all you need to secure God’s presence, getting God’s presence is getting glory, grace, and victory over every challenge of life.
Can you just imagine how stammerer became God’s mouth piece, God could have healed him of stammering but he chose not, rather he used him mightily with his disability, when I caught this understanding it increased my faith. His disability couldn’t stop him from fulfilling his purpose on earth.
How do you figure out a stammerer addressing hundreds of thousands of people, what technology would have made him eloquent in his days? Of course none, how did a whole nation stood to be addressed by a stammerer?
God’s presence made a difference in his life. I caught this revelation many years ago and it birthed a strong passion for God. This is my conclusion; no matter the damage that has being done to a man’s life, God’s presence will put things right. You can’t carry God’s presence and be rejected or stranded, it isn’t possible.
I have gone for business chats where some people who offered better amount have gone before me and after listening to me the clients said, ‘ we don’t want to see any other person, give it to this man ‘. Why do I share this? God’s presence will affect every aspect of your life, your finance, health, spiritual life, business, career etc.
It will shock you to know that God’s presence brings financial breakthrough.
If people do much to get gold, you need to give what it takes to get God’s presence upon your life. Abstain from sin, seek God, be prayerful, your devotion, commitment, worship will attract God’s presence upon your life. God bless you.
