Topic: EMERGENCE OF MOSES.
Text: Exodus 2: 23-25.
23: And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
24: And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
25: And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.
Moses was a figure to reckon with in bible days and in contemporary time, his place in God’s program play a phenomenal role in human race. He was born at a turbulent time to save a troubled people.
He was an answer to the long time groaning of the children of Israel. Our text gives the record of their groaning. Moses was a product of severe groaning, he was a product of serious prayer sessions.
In God’s program; he uses men to help men, he raises a man to deliver another man, a people, a tribe, a race, a nation, a generation. Only Jesus was raised to delivered all men.
Moses was born at time a decree that didn’t permit his existence was made, eventually he was raised by the wealth of the man who sought his life. How did God made that possible? Pharaoh’s daughter found him by the river called Nile and concluded that the biggest god (idol) of the Egyptians called Hapi gave her a boy since she was barren.
Pharaoh’s daughter concluded that Hapi has at last made her happy. The word ‘ Moses ‘ means I drew him from the water, in order words, he came from the water and since Hapi was their idol who they believed lives and control river Nile, she believed that Hapi sent her Moses.
And so Moses was seen as a baby who came from their biggest god, and obviously, Moses came from, the biggest, the almighty God. So, Moses was precious to everyone in Egypt, Pharaoh inclusive.
Moses was a blessing, he became a savior to many people. God raised everyone of us to be a blessing to others, you are meant to be a blessing to others. Some people must be happy that you exist, you’re meant to serve a purpose, you’re raised to solve some people’s problems.
When God called Moses in Exodus Chapter 3, he had several excuses just as you have, but at last he yielded to divine call, put your excuses aside, be a blessing, put smiles on the faces of people. support someone’s business. Lift someone up, help someone to secure a job. Pay someone’s school fees, pay someone’s medical bills.
There are always excuses and reasons not to help, but you need to put them asides because you’re far better than some people. Take up the challenge to be a blessing. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* I receive grace to be a blessing to many people in the name of Jesus.
