DAY 9.
Text: Luke 19:41-43

41: And as He approached, He saw the city, and He wept [audibly] over it,
42: Exclaiming, Would that you had known personally, even at least in this your day, the things that make for peace (for freedom from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin and upon which your peace—your security, safety, prosperity, and happiness—depends)! But now they are hidden from your eyes. Amplified

Jesus wept in two passages of the bible. At the grave of Lazarus and in our text here as he entered Jerusalem. Why did he weep over Jerusalem? It is simply because of the ignorance of the inhabitants.

Jesus wept for their lack of knowledge about things that pertains to their security, prosperity, safety and happiness. What does that suggest to you? Lack of knowledge is the reason for many people’s suffering, ignorance has kept many people in bondage.

Jesus became emotional about the fact that they are ignorant of secret of their prosperity. He knew that the enemy has taken advantage of their ignorance.

I was curious to know what exactly they were ignorant of, verse 44 of the same chapter attended to my curiosity, look at it here: And they will dash you down to the ground, you [Jerusalem] and your children within you; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, [all] because you did not come progressively to recognize and know and understand [from observation and experience] the time of your visitation [that is, when God was visiting you, the time in which God showed Himself gracious toward you and offered you salvation through Christ]. Amplified.

I discovered that they missed God’s visitation, they missed their time of visitation. Time of their salvation, safety, prosperity, breakthrough, lifting, success.

Many people’s stories ought to have changed but they missed God’s visitation. It was indeed a crucial matter that Jesus couldn’t control his emotion, but wept audibly over the city. I pray you will not miss God’s visitation for your life. God bless you.

* Help me to know Lord the things that pertain to my peace and prosperity.
* Reveal every secret that we enhance my prosperity.
* I shall not live in ignorance any more.
* Help me not to miss your visitation.
* Visit me Lord and change my story.
* Illuminate my life Lord in the name of Jesus.
