PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
25th February, 2024.
Topic: HIS FAITHFULNESS
Text: Lamentations 3: 22,23.
22: It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23: They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Our relationship with God is beyond contractual, the word contractual is relating to a binding legal agreement. His mercies take us beyond legal agreement, our relationship is basically based on love.
What does verse 22 of our text means: It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. It is simply means ‘ if we are to go by legal agreement, that is by law, the consequences of our short comings would have consumed us.
Many times, the human flesh fails in obeying the word of God, God should have exposed us to danger as the consequences of our sins and unfaithfulness, but in his mercies he shields us even in our times of unfaithfulness.
His faithfulness overrides our shortcomings. He is faithful to his words all the times, he gives every sinner enough chances to repent.
God’s faithfulness is the reason why we live, it is important we acknowledge, appreciate and celebrate his faithfulness over lives.
Acknowledge it by praising him, giving him the glory that is due to his name.
Appreciate it by serving him faithfulness, reciprocate by serving him wholeheartedly, and abstaining from sin.
Celebrate it by telling people about it, let’s tell people the goodness of the Lord. Show to people that the Lord has been good. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Thank you Lord for your faithfulness.
