Topic: A MAN UNDER AUTHORITY
(THE CHEMISTRY OF WORDS AND LIFE…part 4)
Text: Matthew 10:41.
41: He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives and welcomes and accepts a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. Amplified.
Everyone who makes it in life submits to a delegated authority. The Centurion in Matthew 8:9 said, : For I also am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me…‘ I see the Centurion saying I know how many people I have served to attain the height I am today. I know many of my colleagues who couldn’t make it to where I am today because they couldn’t submit to delegated authority or because they died while obeying authority.
Why did the Centurion placed emphasis on ‘ Authority ‘? It is because he has seen authority kept some people alive while others died. Every worker strives to please his boss because it is the boss who does appraisal.
SPIRITUAL AND SCRIPTURAL ORDER.
Your life responds to authorities in the spirit realm, your life functions according to commands issues to it. You don’t need to be in any secret cults before you submit to authority. Commands are issued everyday, you don’t need to offend occultic people before they issues commands to your life. Many people are victims of commands from the kingdom of darkness.
God keeps us under a specific authority. It has always been in the practice of God both in old testament and new testament to use men to lead and raise men. Our text is the words of Jesus, ‘ He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward ‘, There is a limit to how you can be blessed except you receive the Prophet/ Pastor God has sent to you.
It is unfortunate that many people have forsaken their prophets/pastors because some pastors misbehaved or because of the shortcomings of their pastors, that’s a fundamental error.
Just as you submit to your boss at work to secure your job and get promoted, the same way you’re to submit to your pastor and serve God under him to secure your life and prosperity.
Just as you can’t miss work at will so also you shouldn’t miss church at will, you take permission before you miss work, but you don’t take permission before you miss church and when there is a challenge beyond you, you call on the pastor to pray and fast on your behalf.
God blessings flow through his men just as your managing director passes information through your supervisor, God sends his men to you. That’s God’s order of blessing his people.
Let me press a little further for better understanding; Father Abraham replied the rich in this manner, ‘ Luke 16:31 He said to him, If they do not hear and listen to Moses and the Prophets (God’s ordained ministers), neither will they be persuaded and convinced and believe [even] if someone should rise from the dead. Amplified.
People lose blessings and breakthrough when they don’t receive the men God sent to them. God bless you.

* Help me not to miss the blessings you have prepared for me in Jesus name.
