Topic: THE MYSTERY OF HIS BIRTH.
Text: Colossians 1:20-22.
20: And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21: And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.
22: In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.
At creation God had no intention of sending Jesus to this world, in fact, this isn’t the kind of world he had in plans. He made a world of peace and comfort, but Adam and Eve messed things up. They were suppose to live forever and never die, but their disobedience separated humanity from divinity and eternity.
Humanity was separated from divinity; meaning human beings lost touch with God. God made man for fellowship and relationship but man lost closeness to God and was sent out of God’s presence.
God willing to reconcile man back to himself came in human form when the Holy Spirit possessed Mary in the form of a boy. The birth of the boy Jesus is the beginning of reconciliation. That is the process of bringing humanity back to divinity to enjoy eternity.
This is the mystery: divinity (Holy Spirit) possessing human (Mary), this God (divinity) coming to man (human) to ensure reconciliation. This is like a father coming to pet his son after punishing him for his misbehavior.
Many people wonder why Holy Spirit possessed Mary, and why didn’t she conceal naturally? Here is the answer; it has to be divinity with humanity because the dispute was between divinity and humanity.
Some people thought it just the crucifixion that brought about reconciliation, if the process of his birth is wrong, the crucifixion wouldn’t have brought about reconciliation.
His birth was simply to make peace with humanity; DIVINITY reconciling with HUMANITY, that’s the reason Holy Spirit (divinity) enter into Mary (human) to conceive the saviour.
His birth is expected to bring peace between us and God, sin separates us further from him, amend your ways and abstain from sin. God bless you.

* Lord, let your peace abide in my heart.
* I receive grace to be free from sin in Jesus name.
