PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
20th September, 2022.
Topic: RENEWAL OF YOUR THOUGHTS
Text: Ephesians 4:23.

23: Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. NLT.

Apostle Paul must be an intelligent preacher and author. He must have been a sound lawyer, he had sound education in law and sound spiritual knowledge; about Jesus and humanity, the fact that he was privileged to know some deep things via revelation by the Holy Spirit makes him vast and rich in knowledge of this world and heavenly things.

Apostle Paul was my dream role model as I was growing up as a teenager who studies the bible regularly.

Our text is not a wish or a prayer point but an instruction, that means it is possible.

Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

Many times unwanted thoughts go through people’s mind which influence their actions and feelings. Some people have been bound by their thoughts, they seem to be held captive to what goes through their minds, but Apostle Paul gives us instruction by the Holy Spirit that we should let our spirit renew our thoughts and attitudes.

It means we shouldn’t be held captive to our thoughts and feelings. It means your feelings should not control you, you shouldn’t have addictions, but rather let your spirit control your thoughts and attitudes.

What does Paul actually mean? He meant I can actually stop drinking if I am addicted by allowing my spirit to renew my thoughts. It means I can control my inordinate affection towards opposite sex. I can change all wrong attitudes in my life if I allow my spirit to control my thoughts and attitudes.

By renewal of your thoughts and attitudes you can be best of you. God bless you.

PRAYER.
* I refuse to be held captive by my thoughts in Jesus name.
