Topic: THE MYSTERIOUS PLAN OF GOD.
Text: Ephesians 3:9-11
9: I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.
10: God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
11: This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Studying the bible is not mere christian obligation, but to discover great and hidden things pertaining to life. It will shock you to know that God has mysterious plan.
Let me start this teaching by defining the word ‘mysterious’ this is necessary because the teaching will not accomplish it aim until every reader understands.
Mysterious: Having an import not apparent to the senses nor obvious to the intelligence.
* Beyond ordinary understanding.
Apostle Paul was taken by revelations into the spirit realm to understand this mysterious plan. Look at Ephesians 3:3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, KJV.
Verse 10 tells the mysterious plan; God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom to unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. Why is God doing this? The contest has been with man and the gates of hell. Ephesians 4:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
Since the fall of man, principalities and powers of darkness wage war with man, and God’s mysterious plan is to use the church to defeat the force of darkness through his manifold wisdom.
The church is the only institution choosing by God to defeat the forces of darkness, no other institution, no organisation, no other gathering. The power to defeat the host of darkness is giving to the church.
It is important you know that these forces of darkness fight everyone, no matter your race or tribe or religion. God has chosen only the church to defeat them. This might be hard for you to absorb, but it is the truth from the scriptures: if you are not a part of the church you are not part of the victory plan.
This scriptures will help me buttress this point Matthew 16: 18,19.
18: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19: And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
The keys of victory are given to the church, if you must prevail over these forces you need to be part of the church by giving your life to Christ and joining a sound church to worship God, be committed to serving God in a living church.
