PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
26th April, 2022.
Topic: COUNSELS TO THE EPHESIANS part 10.
Text: Ephesians 1: 15, 16.
15: Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere.
16: I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, NLT.
Paul spoke about what interest him in the lives of the Christians at Ephesus. That’s what should interest every christian, he didn’t talk about their physical or academic achievements, not the number of houses houses they built or land acquired but of their faith and love.
Our text is explicit enough to understand; ever since I first heard of your strong faith, not just faith but a strong one that has capacity to stand the test of time. You see some people have faith, but not a strong one, without strong faith there is little to how far we can go with God.
A strong faith stands hard times; trying time, so Paul said, ‘ I have not stopped thanking God for you when I heard of your strong faith ‘. I see Paul saying that’s what I watch for in you, that’s my greatest desire; that your faith be strong.
Why did Paul take so much interest in that? It is because that’s enough to take them through life and it’s challenges.
Faith is the bedrock of our salvation, deliverance, healing even prosperity. A man with a strong faith is better than a rich man without faith.
Faith in God: absolute trust in God, serving passionately God in good time and bad time. This is not serving based on conditions but because you love him and see him as your Lord and saviour.
Possessing strong faith will help us overcome temptations and overcome the devices of the devil, look at this; Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Lord make my faith you in strong
