PREVAILING VOICE DAILY.
24th March, 2022.
Topic: COUNSELS TO THE EPHESIANS. Part 7.
Text: Ephesians 1:7.
7: In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor, Amplified.
Apostle Paul wouldn’t want the Christians at Ephesus to be ignorant of their redemption.
Look at verse 6 in New Living Translations; So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. NLT. Verse 7 explains verse 6 further, God poured his glorious grace on us who belong to his dear son.
He didn’t just released grace on us, he poured grace on us, grace is simply the ability of God in man, God’s strength in man. It is what the immortal releases on the mortal to do what he couldn’t do.
If you see anyone doing well in life it’s simply because the immortal gave him strength to do so. Now, he says, ‘ God poured his glorious grace on us, that’s a great form of empowerment; the pouring of his grace on us who belong to his dear son.
Verse 7 then tells us the workings of the grace. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace KJV. Can you see grace again in verse 7.
This grace brought our redemption from sin as if we never sinned. It’s the grace that keeps us going and living a sinless life.
Grace is an enpowerment to be free from sin not a licence to sin. He died for us so that we can be free from sin. The enpowerment comes when you make up your mind to accept Jesus as Lord and savior and abstain from sin. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* I receive grace to be free from sin in Jesus name.
