Topic: ENDLESS LIFE; THE TRANSITION…Part 2
Text: Psalms 90:10-12KJV
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
In part one, we said life exist in different phases or levels, and that one of the phases of life is life on the earth which is not forever. It is not an endless life because it has a time it began and has a time it will end. Ecclesiastes 3:2 brings it out in clear words saying
“A time to be born, and a time to die….”
As we continue in this series another time we want to discuss is the time to die.
* TIME OF DEATH: Unlike the time of birth where everyone is conscious of, practically no one is conscious of the time of death except God himself and the devil. Time of death is another time in this phase of life that cannot be neglected, it is a time that calls for prompt and honest attention, but unfortunately because no one is willing to die, then we forget and careless about the time of death.
A man’s parents are not conscious of his time of death because every parent desires that their children bury them and not the other way round. I pray for your also that you will not bury your children in Jesus Name. A man’s family and friends are not conscious of his time of death because they want him to be around and alive for a very long time.
However, God is conscious of a man’s time of death likewise the devil because the death of man on earth is a transition into eternity. God wants the man to reign gloriously with him in heaven whereas the devil wants man after death and be with him in hell fire.
But man himself is not conscious of his time of death because he does not want to die, like every other person he wants to continually enjoy life on earth, he has forgotten that the scriptures says in Hebrews 9:27
“And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.”
Beloved, no matter how long you wish to live on earth, it is nothing compared to the endless life after you leave this world, dont be ignorant of the numbers of your days because as you advance in days you get closer to the grave and so apply your heart to wisdom to fear God and keep his commandments for that is the whole duty of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13) God bless you
