Topic: HANDLING MISTAKES…part 4.
Text: Jeremiah 18:1-4.

1: The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
2: Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
3: Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4: And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Human life is so precious in God’s hand that he has no duplicate for any life. It will shock you to know that God did not make a duplicate for your life, God does not replacement for any life, how do I know? When Adam and Eve disobeyed he should have just killed them instantly and make a replacement for them in stead of taking the long process of making Jesus to die for our sins which took centuries for human race to be redeemed.

The fact that no two individuals have the same finger print buttress my point here. This is to show you how precious your life is in the sight of God. See, every life God made is precious in his sight.

If the world population is 7 billion, it means there are 7 billion different people in the world. God is not jobless to make repeation of creation. So, if there is no duplicate for a life what God does to a life having crisis because of mistakes (decisions taken wrongly) is to fix such life.

In our passage he led Prophet Jeremiah to the Potter’s house, he likened himself to the Potter and his people to the clay. Verse 4 of the passage is of interest to me look at it here: And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Please take note of the word SO, it is shows a decision taken after an issue or a matter, so introduces steps take after something has happened.

So he made it again another vessel. Note AGAIN ANOTHER VESSEL. By using the word ‘ again ‘ it means it was the same clay that was destroyed he made into ‘ another ‘ vessel. God takes delight in transforming a life that is having issues, a life that has been destroyed, a life that is full of errors, a life with crisis, he is not intending to make a replacement, but a repair and when he is through it is will look like another life; a brand new life.

This is the message: no matter what you have been through God is set to make things new for you. He will fix your life and people will think you are another person. By his mercies he will convert your mistakes to miracle, but you must surrender your life to him by accepting Jesus as your Lord and saviour.

Things will be right again. If you are born again ask him to make up for the mistakes of the past telling on life. God bless you.

PRAYER.
* Lord by your mercies convert my mistakes to miracles.
* Transform my life in Jesus name.
