Topic: A MADE-UP MIND…part 4.
Text: 2Timothy 1:7.
7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Soundness of mind is equal to soundness of life, while a troubled mind is a troubled life. If your life is troubled your mind will be troubled, a troubled mind will always not think right which might lead to further trouble.
In the midst of troubles anyone who is smart or wise enough to clear his mind will prevent himself from getting into further trouble.
God gives us a sound mind so that we can live a sound life. As you make conscious effort to keep your mind sound you will maintain a sound life.
Keeping your mind sound is a what I am discussing here: bad news discourages the mind, you must guide against discouraging scenes, don’t allow what you see settles on your mind, ugly scene projects ugly image in the mind.
Discouraging words have capacity to discourage the mind, don’t allow such to settle on your mind. If you have a friend who speaks negatively you have to take a break from such friend or give him or her counsel to desist from speaking negatively.
Once your mind receives unpleasant words, or behold an unpleasant scene and ruminates on it, it will be discouraged.
Maintaining a sound mind is sustaining a sound life. It is your duty to keep your mind sound. Keeping your mind sound is one of the best thing you can do to yourself. God bless you.
