Topic: A MADE-UP MIND.
Text: Romans 12: 2.
2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Let’s take three dictionary meanings of the word ‘ mind ‘.
1, An important intellectual.
2, Knowledge and intellectual ability.
3, That which is responsible for one’s thoughts and feelings: the seat of faculty of reason.
Many times people tend to succumb to events around them, in fact, those events determines their actions. Not knowing that what is on their mind can suppress the pressure around them.
What differentiate human beings from other creatures is the mind; the intellectual component of man. The human mind is embedded with intellect to find solutions to problems.
The great things we see in our world today are products of intellect embedded in human mind. For instance; God didn’t make electricity, he didn’t make cars, aeroplane, telephone, computers to mention a few, they are all products of the intellect in the minds of men.
It is important you know how rich your mind is, it is the greatest asset you’ve got in this world. The purpose of going to school is to train the mind. Your mind is the central processing unit of the events in and around your life. The truth is that you can’t be bigger than the size of your mind. Proverb 23:7 affirms this: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. Time will fail me to explain more here; this is a practical teaching that will change your status, I will continue in part 2, I have not started the message, in this part I am just describing the human mind. Let me drop this before I close: Until your mind is made up your life can’t be made up.
