Topic: WHEN MEN SEEK GOD…part 2.
Text: Jeremiah 29:12-14.
12: In those days when you pray, I will listen.
13: If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
14: I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” NLT
Seeking God is not optional but a mandate for everyone who wants to do well and end well in life. Just as having good teachers in a school enhances the performance of the students of that school, in like manner, seeking God is the secret of everyone who does well and ends well in life. I am talking from experience.
There was serious attack on my life as a child as early as 11months old, according to my parents. I have crossed many challenges by the grace of God. I have seen challenges from all sides of life, but they only make me stronger.
As I clocked the age I could differentiate my left from my right I began to seek the Lord not just for miracles, but for the fact that I love him.
Please understand that God does not put us in trouble rather, he saves us from it. The focus here is what happens when we seek God? He causes his light to shine on our paths.
Let’s go back to our text: Jeremiah 29:14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” NLT. Take a look at this line in the passage, ‘ I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes ‘, I don’t want to rush this, let me emphasis ‘ I will end your captivity ‘, whatever is held down in your life will be let loose in the name of Jesus.
God breaks every chain, he ends captivity in our lives when we seek him. See what the Bible says about Jesus Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Captivity is ended in your life in Jesus name. Join 7 NIGHTS OF HIS AWESOME PRESENCE, last night was great, today is day two. It is going to be a great time in God’s presence.
PRAYER.
* As we wait upon the Lord today, tell him to end captivity in your life and family.
