Topic: THE COMPASS FOR 2021.
Text: Psalms 119:105

105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

I have read this scriptural verse many times but this morning the Holy Spirit gave me a deep understanding of the passage.

Take a look at this, ‘ a lamp unto my feet ‘, it means I don’t know the condition is of my feet without the word of God, before finding my path I must first of all know the place my feet are standing.

The Psalmist was giving a picture of a man in the dark, which is the true picture of every man in life until God gives him direction.

The position of my feet determines either I will step forward or turn back, I can’t just begin to take steps without knowing the position of my feet. So, what the Psalmist meant when he said, ‘ a lamp unto my feet ‘ is that God enables me to see my position, the direction I am facing, my true state before taking steps.

The journey of every man begins from his present state, it is therefore important that I have light shining on my feet before talking about my path.

There is a word for my present state which helps me to know my direction in life. Before we take steps this year we all need this compass to guide us in the right direction, the compass has the coordinates for our present position, and coordinates of our destiny, the compass is the word of God.

This is a series of teaching that will enable us make right decisions this year and beyond, I will be unraveling deep mysteries on this subject as the Holy Spirit inspires me.

PRAYER.
* Lord, guide me this year into fortune.
