Test: Matthew 1:21

21: She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]. Amplified.

Merry Christmas to one and all. Christmas reminds us of the birth of Jesus. He was born for a unique purpose.

Everyone of us has a purpose for living, and our purpose makes us blessings to people around us. Each of us has been source of blessings to few people, but Jesus is a blessing to the world. There are some people around you that you can’t just but celebrate their birthday, the world today celebrates the birth of her saviour and deliverer from the grip of hell.

From our text the purpose of Jesus’ birth was announced; ‘ for He will save His people from their sins ‘. This is the major purpose of Christ’s coming to the world every other reason is secondary.

Jesus didn’t came for Miracles, healings and prosperity, people of the old testament enjoyed miracles, healings and prosperity, but He came to fix what was missing in the old testament, ‘ FREEDOM FROM SIN ‘. The old testament believers weren’t free from their sins they only got atonement for their sins, but Christ came to give total cleansing by His blood.

So, when we celebrate His birth we are celebrating our freedom from sins.

Howbeit, many people celebrate in sin and in sinful manner. People committing more sin in the course of celebrating their freedom from sin.

It is absolutely important you understand that ‘ His birth is antidote to your sin, His birth is meant to liberate you from sin. God bless you.

* I receive freedom from sin in Jesus name.
