PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
21st December, 2020.
Topic: IN THE YEAR THAT KING UZZIAH DIED…
Text: Isaiah 6:1.

1: In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

My first assignment here is to correct the wrong interpretation of this bible passage. You must have heard many preachers say, ‘ Uzziah was the reason Isaiah didn’t see the Lord ‘, some put it this way, ” Until Uzziah died Isaiah didn’t see the Lord ‘, and so they make prayer point from that by saying, ‘ every Uzziah of my life must die ‘, that’s erroneous.

The truth is that no one can stop you from having encounter with God, no one can stop you from seeing the Lord. That was a period in the world that they use the reigns and death of Kings to note the events that happened in their lives.

It is possible that Isaiah saw the Lord before Uzziah died or after his death. Isaiah didn’t say I saw the Lord after Uzziah died. It is possible Uzziah died in August while Isaiah saw the Lord in March of the same year. They only use reigns of Kings to note events in their lives.

Look at the passage in King James version: In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Please take note of the sentence ‘ I saw also the Lord …’ note the word ‘ also ‘, it means two things:
1, He saw other things and then saw the Lord.
2: Other things happened to him other than seeing the Lord.

Please follow me patiently, I am almost there; I got a message from the Lord to deliver to you.

At the end of every year people take inventary of all that happened to them in the year, people talked about their major achievements within the year. The biggest achievement will be loud in their mouth. So, the biggest event of Isaiah in that year is to see the Lord, not purchase of land, or winning of contracts, or building a house, or buying a car.

Seeing the Lord is the best thing that can happen to a man, having encounter with God, touching His throne, a touch from Him will make lasting impact in your life. Isaiah saw the Lord and his life change. I will share details of the revelation later, let me pause here as I ask you this important question: Have you see the Lord this year? Have had an encounter with Him? Have you got a touch from Him? If not you are still lacking behind despite all you have achieved.

I don’t want to talk about the pandemic, I don’t what to talk about ENDSARS PROTEST, for those of us living in Nigeria, I don’t want to talk about my achievements in business and Ministry but about my encounter with God. ‘ I saw also the Lord ‘.

It is not too late, you can still have an encounter with God within the 10 days remaining in this year. Take a day wait upon Him and ask for a life transforming encounter.

‘ I saw also the Lord ‘ may you see the Lord. God bless you.

PRAYER.
* Lord, I need a touch, a visitation, an encounter with you that I will never forget.
