Topic: GIFT FROM THE LORD.
Text: Psalms 127: 3-6.

3: Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.
4: Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands.
5: How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates. NLT.

God is the maker of life, children are His special products. He gives them to us as blessings, we are to treasure them as precious gifts, we are caretakers, they are given us by God for proper care.

God is not careless about any life especially children. Let me come out this way: many adults have disappointed God, they have sinned again and again, some are not ready to turn away from their sinful life styles, God sees children as saints, without sin, and he gave them to us as caretakers to watch over their lives.

So much is expected of us to train them in the way of the Lord. I see many parents concerned with their children’s education without giving attention to their relationship with God.

These children are given to us as saints without sin, as we raise them we must be conscious of the fact that we must present them as saint to God. It will require a commitment on our side: we have to make out time out of our tight schedule to ensure we train them in the way of God.

Trust the Lord that your children will not turn wayward, though they live in corrupt generation, immoral society, the grace that keeps us can and will keep them. God bless our children.

PRAYER.
* I receive grace to raise my children in the way of the Lord in the name of Jesus.
