Topic: WHEN MERCY SPEAKS…Part 15
Text: Romans 9:15KJV
15 he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion
We are rounding off this series by the grace of God. In Part 12-14, we emphasized that it is greatly fearful to fall into the judgement of God and that the only way out of God’s judgement is for God to show mercy which he may choose to or may not according to scriptural text above.
Today, as we round off, we want to discuss a particular kind of God’s judgement that has no escape route once the judgement comes, a judgement without mercy, a judgement at a time the mercy of God would not be available, a judgement that will reveal the full wrath of God, and that is the eternal judgement of sinners.
Hebrews 9:27 says
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”.
The eternal judgement of sinners is a judgement for every one who refuses the offer of salvation of God, its for everyone who dies in sin, its for everyone who misses the rapture and receives the mark of the beast, its a judgement for everyone whose name is not found written in the book of life as recorded in Revelation 20:11-15
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
It is a judgement by fire in a bottom less pit, a judgement of condemnation without mercy of God.
Beloved, to escape from God’s eternal judgement and condemnation is simply by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and living a holy life in obedience to God’s commandment. God bless you.
PRAYER:
* Father, help me not to be part of the judgement of condemnation in Jesus Name
