Topic: WHEN MERCY SPEAKS…Part 10
Text: Romans 9:15KJV

15 he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion

According to our discussion in Part 9, when sin or devil speak judgement over a life, that person can turn to God, i mean there is an escape route for him in God, because when God speaks mercy, such judgement will be terminate.

Now when it is God himself that is speaking judgement over such a life, where or what is the escape route? Who can save such a person turn to? Certainly no one. No one has the power to reverse or terminate God’s judgement over a life, and so it is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of God.

God is merciful, he is rich in mercy, not only that his mercies endure from generations to generations. However it is very important to note that God is also a consumable fire, and so his mercy should not be taken for granted. A who experienced God’s judgement is David according to 1 Chronicles 21.

David sinned against God over Israel and God gave him a choice of three judgements to select one, when David weighed the first two judgements (three years’ famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee;-1 Chronicles 21:12), he weighed them as judgements where he will be at the mercy of men and he so resulted to the third judgement (three days the sword of the Lord, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the Lord destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel.-1 Chronicles 21:12) because he believed it a judgement where he will be at the mercy of God.

Beloved according Hebrews 10:30

“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

It is fearful to fall into God’s judgement because except the Lord himself show mercy, there is no escape route. God bless you
