Topic: WHEN MERCY SPEAKS…Part 9

15 he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion
One of the definitions of judgement that suit our purpose of discussion is that judgement is a misfortune or calamity viewed as a divine punishment. Just as mercy speaks, judgement also speak, infact mercy speaks because judgement is speaking, the voice of mercy is heard, to silent the voice of judgement.
In part 6 & 7, we discussed that voice of Judgement is heard when sin speaks, when the devil speaks and when God speaks. Today we want to discuss a little further on what to do when sin and devil speak judgement over a life.
* If the voice of judgement is heard because sin is speaking, the voice of mercy from God can silent it. In Jonah 1-3, the sins of Nineveh was crying for judgement over the nation according to Jonah 1:2
“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”
But when the nation repented and cried unto God for mercy, God’s mercy prevailed and judgement was terminated over their lives and nation as recorded in Jonah 3:10
“And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.”
* If the voice of judgement is heard over a life when the devil speaks, the voice of mercy from God can save him. In Jude 1: 9, the devil contended with an angel of God over the body of Moses, the devil brought a railing accusation against Moses and even at his death he wanted to claim ownership of the body of Moses, but the angel of God, spoke saying to the devil “The Lord rebuke thee” as recorded in Jude 1: 9
“Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”
And that silence the devil’s voice of judgement over Moses.
In summary, the antidote to the judgement of sin and devil is the voice of mercy from God. So when God speaks mercy, the voice of judgement from sin and the devil will cease. So beloved, are under any judgement of sin and devil?, cry unto God for mercy today and you shall be saved. God bless you
