Topic: NOT WILLING TO SERVE…Part 3

8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
Willingness is defined as the quality or state of being prepared to do something. It is the readiness to be committed to and carry out a task
In part 2, we discussed two categories of people who want God to bless them but are not willing to serve God. Today we want to discuss that God is always ready and willing to bless but which category of people is God willing to bless?
There is a particular category of people that God will not hesitate to pour his blessings upon, infact God has promises of blessings for them in the scriptures. These category are people that God is not ashamed to be called their God and they his people according to Ezekiel 11:20 saying
“That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.”
These people are those who are willing to walk in God statues, willing to keep his ordinance and to do them, they are those willing to serve God. Now God is committed to bless these people who are primarily willing to serve God, and as they serve him he blesses them so that they can become blessings to others.
In Hebrews 6:10, Paul wrote to the Hebrews that
“God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Paul wrote in assurance that God is just and will certainly reward and bless those who serve him, because he never forgets, neither does he owe any man anything. So as employers of labour, pay their employees wages or salaries for their labour, God also release blessings upon his children who are committed to his service. Therefore, beloved are you willing to serve? God bless you.
PRAYER:
* Father, give me passion and grace to serve you.
* Lord help me to serve you willingly in Jesus Name.
