Topic: WHEN MERCY SPEAKS…Part 5
Text: Romans 9:15KJV
15 he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion
Mercy is compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm. Mercy does have a voice and mercy also speaks.
In parts 2-4, we learnt that mercy speaks when the blood of Jesus Christ, the mouth of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Almighty God himself speak. Today we want to discuss what mercy speaks.
Mercy speaks many good and great things into a life, a few of them are:
* Forgiveness: When mercy speaks into a life where sin abound, it speaks forgiveness to that soul, In Mark 2, the man that was sick of palsy who had encounter with Jesus in the synagogue was first forgiven of his sins by the Lord Jesus Christ when he spoke as recorded in Mark 2:5
“When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.”
So when mercy speaks, first it speaks forgiveness over sin in the life of a person.
* Justification: The record of sin is a strong hold for judgement to prevail, but when mercy speaks, it speaks justification (wiping away the record of sin, and presenting such fellow as if he has never sinned). The man crucified on the left hand side of Jesus Christ on the cross was meant to be in hell by condemnation from the sin of stealing and robbery, but when Jesus spoke, he became justified to be with Jesus Christ in the paradise that same night.
* Freedom: Sin put it’s victim in bondage but when mercy speaks, it speaks freedom from sin and it’s bondage. The man who was sick of palsy was bound by sin in sickness, when Jesus spoke, his sin was not only forgiven, he was liberated from the bondage of sickness as well.
* Healing: The man by the pool of Bethesda received healing when mercy found him out, his infirmity of 38 years was healed when Jesus spoke and mercy prevailed over sickness in his life according to John 5:8-9
“Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.”
Beloved, when mercy speaks, it speaks great things of joy bringing out God’s glory upon a life. I pray that mercy will speak peace, healing and freedom into your life in Jesus Name

* Father, let mercy speak solution to every issue in my life in Jesus Name
