PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
23rd September, 2020.
Topic: THE BLESSING OF EACH DAY..part 4
Text: Lamentations 3:22-26.

22: It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23: They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24: The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25: The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26: It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

The newness of his mercies daily was the focus in part 3, Jeremiah dropped some important messages in this passage, look at verse 22: It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed… This means if not for the mercies of the Lord, the things we went through were strong enough to consume us. God showed us mercies everyday and that is the reason we made it through.

Look verse 24; The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. There is difference between your soul and your body, this is
what Jeremiah meant; after all we have been through, my soul, inner self, testifies that the Lord is my portion, I will continually hope in him.

The book of Lamentations is the testimony of Jeremiah and this passage is talking about the goodness of the Lord in time of crisis, in verse 25 the writer testifies that God is good to them that wait for him and seek him. He found out that the Lord brought them out of trouble as they seek him, so he said, ‘ The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him ‘, verse 25.

Waiting upon the Lord guarantees your access to his mercies daily. As we seek him his mercy is released everyday upon our lives. Mercy precedes every good act, you can’t get a good thing for free from a man without first obtaining his mercy. So when he said, ‘ the Lord is good unto them that wait for him ..’ he meant everyone who waits upon him obtains his mercy that produces good things.

Look at this statement in verse 25 …to the soul that seeketh him, your soul is your inner self, when your inner self waits upon the Lord you will receive his mercy that produces good things.

A troubled life is a life that has not obtained mercy, if you have been through troubles for so long all you need do is to seek God for his mercies. When you are fasting and praying your soul, inner self, is waiting upon the Lord.

As we wait upon the Lord today approach his throne to obtain mercy that delivers good things. God bless you.

PRAYER.
* Your mercies, oh Lord, upon my life, my family and endeavors in Jesus name.
