PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
18th September, 2020.
Topic: REVELATION OF HEAVEN.
Text : Luke 16: 22,23.
22: And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23: And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Out of the graciousness of God he reveals the future, eternity inclusive. Remember that our passage here is a revelation given by Jesus about Heaven and hell. Some people say Abraham’s bosom is not heaven, let me shed light on this: the word bosom means 1, a close affectionate and protective acceptance.
2, A person’s breast or chest.
This means Lazarus is resting on Abraham’s chest, this is like when a baby is resting on his mother’s chest, so if Abraham is in heaven Lazarus is simply resting on his chest in heaven.
Stephen also had the revelation of heaven in Acts 7:55-56 look at it here;
55: But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56: And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. This also confirms the reality of heaven, it is full with the glory of God.
John the beloveth saw heaven in revelation 21 and described how it looks and the class of people that will make it there. Let’s look at Revelation 21;
1: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were
passed away; and there was no more sea.
2: And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3: And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Verse 3 shows that heaven is for God’s people.
4: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
10: And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11: Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
18: And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19: And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
What a description!
THOSE THAT WILL NOT MAKE IT.
Verse 8: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
22: And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
To miss heaven will be tragic. Give all it takes to make heaven.
PRAYER:
* Help me Lord to always live in the consciousness of heaven in Jesus name.
