Text: Jeremiah 32:17KJV

17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee

Handiwork is simply defined as the work done by hand or a product of a person’s effort and action. Other words for handiwork are creation, design, workmanship, doing, invention e.t.c.

In part four, we discussed that one of the purpose of God’s handiwork is to glorify him. We want to discuss today by the grace of the Almighty God, and our focus is that God’s handiwork must fulfill purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 says

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”

Let try break down the above scripture in this way, we are his workmanship (God’s handiwork) created in Christ Jesus into good works (God’s purpose) which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (fulfil his purpose). So as God’s handiwork made for his pleasure, for his glory and for his purpose, it is paramount that we fulfil his purpose for our lives.

Failure to fulfill purpose may not go without consequences such as:

* Self Abuse: A man who does not know his divine purpose and not fulfilling such, may abuse his life. For example, a prince who does not know he is a prince and he is not living as a prince, may relegate himself to living the live of slave or a common man till he dies, such is an abuse of life and an abuse of purpose.

* Unfulfilled Life: The divine purpose of a man is the summary of the essence of his life on earth, now when a man fails to fulfill his divine purpose as God’s handiwork, he certainly will lead an unfulfilled life, having some element of emptiness, void and unfilled vacuum.

* Forfeiting of Purpose: The master sculptor designed every of his handiwork with his purpose, but anyone who fails or refuses to fulfil his purpose may lose that divine purpose to another. Understand clearly that God’s purpose is time bound and must be fulfilled, if a vessel fails or refuses fulfil his God given purpose, God will rather replace such a man and give that purpose to another man to fulfill.

* The Maker is Not Pleased: God will certainly not be pleased and happy if his handiwork failed to fulfil to his purpose.

Beloved, you are made for God’s pleasure and for his purpose, seek to fulfill God’s purpose for your life. God bless you.

* Father, give me grace to fulfill your purpose for my life in Jesus Name.
