Topic : GLORY DUE TO HIS NAME.
Text: Psalms 29:1-11.
1: Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
2: Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Many times when people pray, they pray like if God can answer them they will praise him in a big way, one could feel the zeal with which they pray as if with that same zeal they will praise God when he answers them, but you will find out that when the miracle is delivered, it then appears like; so, it is this easy, though, they praise God, but not like one would expect or like they have promised to praise him.
It is in the light of this that the Psalmist was said, ‘ Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name..’ I want you to take note of the word ‘ due ‘, it is like saying, ‘ pay the amount due ‘, there is a measure of glory, praise and worship that God deserves. I feel the way we pray should commensurate with the way we praise him, or our praises should exceed our prayer.
God has done so much through ‘ 20 DAYS OF SPECTACULAR ACTS ‘, Amazing things I must say. Our passage described what he has done, the passage is talking about what the voice of the Lord does, in verse 4 it says, ‘ The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty..’ The voice has really been powerful, imagine me on a seat in my sitting room speaking his words and touching lives in different parts of world, giving accurate words that meet the needs of the people, we got testimonies from different parts of the world, ALL GLORY TO GOD. His voice is really powerful, these are proofs of His Awesome Presence, as we wait to harvest more in the coming days, weeks and months.
Let’s praise him for what he done, we should praise him with the same zeal we use to pray for the manifestation of his power, now that he has manifested his power, let’s give him praise that is due to his name.
