It is good to know that God is doing great things through PREVAILING VOICE DAILY, to him be all praises and honour.
Jesus gave the parable of the prodigal son to show the character of God in his relationship with man. While human beings are represented by the prodigal son, the father of the prodigal son represents God. Many times we have taken decisions like the prodigal son, look at Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
We have gone astray, out of his will, but he is always ready to take us back. Let me try to analyse the home coming of the prodigal son and show you how it relates to our lives.
Let’s start with verse 20, carefully note this sentence in verse 20, ‘..And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming ‘, this suggest to me that the father has been waiting and watching out for him. It appears to me that every morning his father did sit outside alone watching out for him, and when passersby ask him ‘ baba, why are you outside? He did answer them, ‘ nothing, I just feel like ‘, but inside his mind he was hoping and wishing that his son will return. In like manner, God is hoping and wishing that sinners will repent.
Note the sentence, ‘ his father saw him coming ‘, while he was still a long way off, it means the father has been looking in that direction, just as God is looking in your direction expecting you to come.
Sometimes, because of the circumstances around us, it appears like God is not looking in our direction, it is just appearing so, not really so, God is always looking in our direction.
* He knows we have made mistakes and he wants to make things right for us.
* He knows we have things bothering us, he is waiting for us to come, meet him in the place of prayer so that he can attend to those needs.
look at this also in verse 20; …Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. I am persuaded that God will run towards your direction, he will embrace you and kiss you.
God is loving, some people think that God is too busy that he doesn’t have their time, that’s not true, he has time for everyone who comes to him. Go with your request to him he will show you love. Pray and if you can, fast, you will see his love showered over your life. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Make your request known, he will do you good.
