PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
20th June 2020.
Topic: I WILL ARISE …part 6.
Text : Luke 15:17,18.
18: I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee.
19: And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
Glory to God for what he is doing through this medium, we thank him for daily inspiration. The inspirations I get about this passage makes it looks like I am reading it for the first time. Powerful inspirations I tell you, I wish I am able to tidy it up before 20 DAYS OF SPECTATOR ACTS, (annual fasting and prayer of PREVAILING FAMILY INTERNATIONAL) that is the program that birthed PREVAILING VOICE DAILY in the year 2015 and by the grace of God it has reached over 129 countries of the world.
The focus here is what the prodigal son said to his father, before that, let me add to the points in part 5; God does not hold sin against us in as much as we have repented, why do I need to stress this? Some people are living in guilt of sin of many years, some have been told that it is the sins of their fore fathers that is the cause of their problems, let me remind you that the blood of Jesus washes clean from all sins, murderers, witches have been forgiven and many more.
Don’t allow guilt in your heart if you have surrendered to Jesus.
Jesus’ words are never exaggerated, the picture he was painting with this parable was exactly what it is.
Look at verse 19: And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. Hum! This is deep, sometimes we feel like God will never accept us as sons, some people think God has choice sons and daughters, special people, even among Christians, some think God loves some people more than others.
We look at some Pastors as if, they never have problems, that’s not true, they go through things as you go through things, all you see them manifest is the anointing placed on their lives to meet other people’s needs.
So, like some people think, the prodigal son thought his father will not accept him back as a son, so he said, ‘ am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants ‘, this how some see themselves ‘ hired servants ‘, I mean Christians not Muslims. You hear some Christians say, ‘ I know I am not a saint ‘, ‘ we are all sinners ‘, that’s not true, God does not see us like that. Let me give you an example you can relate with; if your son ever stole, God forbid, will you tagged him a thief? No.
God doesn’t see us as sinners, he see us as sons and daughters, stop condemning yourself as a sinner when you have repented of your sins.
The prodigal son thought he wouldn’t have access to sonship and it benefits anymore. ‘ make me as one of your hired servants ‘, only a foolish father will do that, just as you won’t want to disown your child, so will God not want to disown us.
He sees us as his children, not servants, there is no hierarchy in the kingdom, I am not superior to you neither are you to me, we all are children of God, God does not see the pastor greater than his congregants, though, he expects them to respect his servants because of the anointing.
The point I am making here is that God is not seeing anyone who has repented of his or her sins less than a son, you are not considered as servant, you can always approach him as a son talks to his father. Please keep following the series, there is still a lot to learn, I have not shared the mystery and celebration of his return. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Thank you Lord for the privilege given me to be a son.
