Topic: I WILL ARISE …part 5.
Text: Luke 15:17,18.
17: “When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, ‘At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger!
18: I will go home to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you. NLT
Believe me honestly, this Bible passage has not left my spirit as the Holy Ghost expands it with deep insight. The feedback we get testifies to the inspiration I get by the Holy Spirit. All glory to God.
Let me share a little further as the Holy Spirit impresses in my spirit-man. Look at verse 18 again ‘ I will go home to my father and say ‘ NLT. Someone wants to ask ‘ why are you explaining a parable as if it actually happened? The truth is that every word of Jesus must not be joked with including his parables. If you study the Bible well you will discover that there was never a place Jesus cracked a joke, not even at the wedding in Cana. No time he spoke careless words, his messages were delivered strictly, all his parables are to delivered important messages.
Back to verse 18 ‘ I will go home to my father and say ..’ His sins appear grievous to him that he thought nobody will want to accept him back home except his father. Remember he had wasted resources, he had lived carelessly, he had taken his portion of the father’s wealth. He knew someone like his brother will not like to see him, the servants will probably make mockery of him, the neighbors will speak ill of him, so he said, ‘ I will go to my father and say…‘
Please note that he wasn’t just going to his father, he wants to say something to his father, I will talk about that in the next part. He knew that his father will hear him no matter what he has done.
How is this applicable to you? No matter what you have done, no matter how grievous your sins are God will still hear you.
Some people think God is a killer, some think he does forgive easily, some think he doesn’t forgive sins committed deliberately, all that is not true. Just as you forgive your children no matter the number of times they offend you, so is God willing to forgive you in as much as you are not willing to continue in your sins.
I wish I can deliver this message the way I have it in my spirit-man, how many of us are still carrying the guilt of the sins God has forgiven and forgotten? Look at these scriptures Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalms 85:2 You have forgiven and taken away the iniquity of Your people, You have covered all their sin. Selah [pause, and calmly realize what that means]! Amplified.
Can you see from the above passages that God does not remember our sins? When there is a challenge don’t think it is because of the sins you committed in the past. For instance, when a woman who had committed abortions in time past is childless in her marriage, the devil quickly remind her that it is because of the abortions, that’s not true, there are many people who never committed abortion that are childless.
The prodigal son knew his father will not punish him for his sins, rather he would forgive and forget just as I know from the scriptures that God will not punish you for your sins, rather he will forgive and forget, no matter what you have done.
Your father, my father, I mean our heavenly father will not punish us for our sins. No matter what, so go to him. Repent and forsake your sins, and there will be no punishment at all except you are not ready to forsake them. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Have mercy Lord and cleanse me from my sins in Jesus name.
