Text: Luke 15:17,18.
17: “When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, ‘At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger!
18: I will go home to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you.
If you have been following this series you will agree with me that it has been a blessing. Let’s move a little further here; it is important you give time to study the Bible, studying patiently, there is no point running through the bible without getting revelation that brings transformation. When you give attention to every passage there will be break forth of light in your spirit which will eventually bring transformation in your life.
Look at the phrase ‘ at home ‘, when he came to his senses, he said to himself, ‘ at home…’ he knew that at home even his father’s servants had surplus. Let’s see the dictionary meaning of the word ‘ home ‘
* An environment offering affection and security. Home is not a hostile environment, it is not like a business environment, or any other gathering. It is an environment of love.
Sins are easily forgiven at home, so, he said to himself, ‘ I will go home to my father ‘, and that was the beginning of his restoration. How is this applicable to us? When there is crisis the right thing to do is to go home.
Please note that the prodigal son said, ‘ I will go home and say to my father ‘, he was going to meet his father not someone else, he knew his father will always be home. I know you will want to ask; which home are you talking about? Mind you he was going to his father, we have a heavenly father, we can always run to him, we can always go to his presence through prayer.
God’s presence is our home beloved, I have learnt the secret of victory over my challenges, I have had difficult challenges and overcame by staying in God’s presence. Staying in his presence, fasting and praying has delivered great testimonies in my life, I am sharing from experience.
You know sometimes people can’t figure out how prayer can produce money, I have seen it happened several times, and sometimes God made it in a way that you might not even need money for what you thought you need money to do.
Are there challenges in your life, go home, that is stay in God’s presence, wait upon him in prayer and fasting. You will notice that when someone is going through things people will tell him or her, ‘ fast and pray about it ‘, what they are saying invariably is ‘ go home and meet your father ‘.
Is there any affliction in your life? Go home. Any health issue? Go home. Any debt to pay? Go home. Do you have pains? Go home. Anything bothering your mind? Go home. Anything threatening your life? Go home. Probably, all your efforts in life has been futile, go home. Are you discouraged? Go home. Have you lost so much? Go home. Whatever the problem beloved please, go home.
I don’t play with personal retreat, devotion, waiting upon the Lord. That’s THE HOME beloved, you can’t go there and your father, my father, I mean our heavenly will not attend to you.
Permit me to share this please; my first relationship was challenged, I prayed to a point a prophet to told me, ‘ God ask me to tell you that your marriage does not require fasting and prayer anymore, it is already settled ‘, the prophesy is evident today.
There will always be solution at home, PLEASE GO HOME. God bless you.

* As we wait upon the Lord today in fasting and prayer, present your challenges to him.
