Topic: IN HIS LIKENESS…part 3.
Text: Romans 4:17
17: (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
We are made in his image, and his attributes should be seen in us, he delegated authority to man, the focus here is how God made the world.
He made the beautiful Eden from a formless and shapeless world by his spoken words, man being in his likeness is also given power to do the same, how do I know? Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. The tongue of a man is empowered by God with authority to get what he says.
Just as God spoke out the beautiful Eden from his mouth, man is also empowered to speak what he wants into his world. A man’s world can therefore be formed by his words. The continuous saying of a thing will bring it to manifestation.
Man is wired to see what he says, it is a matter of time, what he says, he will get. The tongue of a man delivers what his mind processes within him, his life functions in the direction of his thoughts.
We are what we think about ourselves, because eventually the things we think about ourselves become what we say about ourselves. Let me put it this way: sometimes we speak to ourselves, and there are instances we speak out some words unconsciously, that’s when the mind has processed our thoughts and it couldn’t hold it anymore but let it out through the mouth, this is what Jesus meant when he spoke in Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Look at it in New Living Translation You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.
Don’t let what you see determine what you say, rather let what you say change what you see. It is your responsibility to speak forth what you want just as God called those things that be not as though they were.
It is another day to wait upon the Lord, speak the things you want into your life as you wait upon him today. God bless you.
