PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
28th April 2020
Topic: PRODUCTIVE THOUGHTS.
Text: Proverbs 15:13:

13: A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

In the journey of life, there are experiences that come to mind. At times such remembrances are positive or negative and they pose positive and negative impact respectively. Recalling negative experience can pose negative influence on your state of mind or action.

* Remembrance of lost ones: Many times when we remember good times shared with the lost loved ones it often impact us negatively. Such remembrance always dig up the grave of sorrow, pains, depressive thoughts that has been buried in time past, and if such moment persist for a certain period of time it can cause health breakdown and low self esteem.

Though, it seems almost impossible to erase the memories of the dead, but dwelling with the memories is detrimental to one’s state of mind. Jesus speaking to one of his disciples who called forth a remembrance of his dead father in Matthew 8:21-22 says “Let the dead bury their dead”

That disciple has a call of God upon his life, he was about to start a journey to his destiny, but first he wanted to turn back in remembrance of his dead, Jesus quickly addressed him that his being alive is of much importance to God and His kingdom than to the dead. So let the dead remain dead, while you follow me into your destiny.
