Topic: SATANIC STRATEGY…Part 5
Text: Matthew 13: 25-30KJV
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
In part four, we discussed another device of the devil that we must not be ignorant of as believers, that devil plant tares per wheat crop, and we also discussed two reasons the enemy often do so.
Today we want to discuss yet another strategy of the devil, that is the enemy often leverage on the seed of greatness in a man when he makes evil deposit in his life.
From our scriptural text above, the wheat planted by the Lord of the house has a seed of greatness in it which must manifest, the devil is very much aware of this and so he came to plant seeds of tares so that as the wheat grows to become great positively, the tares also will grow to be great negatively.
A very good example of this satanic strategy is the planting of Ishmael as a seed of Abraham. The devil knew that anything that comes out of Abraham would be great, he knew that the seeds of Abraham are seeds of greatness as covenanted by God according to Genesis 17:6-7
“And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.”
So as God was preparing Isaac (a right seed of greatness) for Abraham, the devil was also planning on how to sow a wrong seed that would leverage on God’s covenant of greatness for Abraham. The devil achieved his aim, sowed Ishmael, who was not in the plan of God for Abraham, and just as the right seed of Abraham became great in number as the sand of the sea shore so also the wrong seed of Abraham became great in number as the sand of the sea shore and their impact upon the world today can never be under-estimated.
Beloved, again do not be ignorant of these devices of the enemy and neither give place to the devil to leverage on the greatness on the inside of you in planting a great seed of sorrow and destruction. God bless you.
