Topic: HOW CHRISTIANS LOSE BLESSINGS
Text: Ephesians 2:8.
8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God
God answers us by releasing grace, from the point of salvation grace and faith are needed for a man to be saved. Grace is what heaven releases upon anyone who approaches God for blessing, how do I know this? Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Grace is made available through Jesus. John 1: 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17: For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
This grace first of all brings salvation Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. The appearance is to all men, all classes of people, but not all men receive salvation only those who connect by faith. Grace is released by God while faith is applied by men, everyone who exercises faith in the saving grace receives salvation.
God also places his grace on men he has ordained as his ministers, grace to deal with all kinds of issues, problems, and difficulties among men, in the old testament Moses was a Prophet in his days, Samuel at another time, Elijah and Elisha they all took their turns in time. The Apostles carry such grace in the new testament.
A pastor ordained by God who is in right standing with God carries grace to meet the needs of his members, all the members need to do is to connect by faith to the grace their pastor carries, but when the members start looking at him as ordinary man they can’t connect to the grace of God upon him.
This is the picture: Church is divine clinic, the resident doctor is the pastor, the healing virtue is the grace of God upon his life, as members go with their faith they get their lives healed.
Jesus speaking in Matthew 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward...’ when people are too familiar with their Prophets/Pastors they forget that God has made him a source of blessings to them, just as you like to use the nearest ATM to access cash so also, God ordained his man around you to meet that need you’re asking from him, when you fail to connect by faith to the grace of God upon that man you are most likely to lose your blessings.
- A female friend called many years ago, she was paralyzed, unable to walk, she was being carried from hospital to a church, she told the people with her, I saw in a revelation that Pastor Yemi prayed for me, and I recovered, so she called and explained the matter, I couldn’t visit her because I was in a retreat, I prayed via the phone, within 4 days she resumed back to work.
-
When I visit people, and they welcome me well or when people do me a favour if there is any spiritual information for them within 48 hours I get it. I can’t tell how many revelations have been confirmed, while some people that are close could not connect to the grace by faith because of familiarity.
Please note that it is not the person you are connecting to, but the grace God has placed upon him to be a blessing to you.
I have seen people who are far away benefiting from the grace, people I have not met, people I have not seen connecting to the grace and getting blessed. If you look around every man of God some people connect to the grace upon them, and they are blessed while some just see them as ordinary men, and are not blessed by the grace they carry.
Grace with your faith brings blessings.
You heard Jesus said in the Bible said, ‘ your faith has made you whole ‘, this mean your faith connected to God’s grace upon me delivers your blessings. Stay blessed.
PRAYER.
* Help me Lord not to lose my blessings.
