Topic: JOURNEY TO THE CROSS…part 4
Text: John 10:10.
10: The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. NLT.
God made a satisfying life for man in Eden, he gave the best to our first parents, just as a father gives the best to his children, unfortunately, Adam and Eve lost it. Redemption is like trying to change a boy who was sent to school to study, but turned out to be a cultist, he couldn’t make anything out of schooling. And one still try to ensure the boy becomes the best he is suppose to be in life. A lot of effort will be put in place to ensure this.
Jesus came to restore a satisfying life that Adam lost in Eden and to achieve that he needs to go to the cross.
Look at this scripture: Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10: For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. The crucifixion was meant to restore the satisfying life Adam lost.
Jesus went through every negative thing for you to get the positive side of life, he lived the opposite of life that we might a satisfying life. Can I shock you? They was no moment in the Bible record that Jesus was happy, NO MOMENT OF JOY IN JESUS’ LIFE when he was here on Earth, even at the
wedding in Cana he wasn’t happy, how do I know? Check his response to his mother in John 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
Isaiah 53:3 referred to him this way; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.
Isaiah 61:3 summarized his mission, look at it here To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. You will notice that he came to exchange every negative situation with positive one.
I am glad to announce to you that anything that is hurting in your life Jesus came to reverse it. You can change your situation by believing this finished work of Christ. Don’t accept any negative thing rather confront it with the blood that was shed for you to get a satisfying life. God bless you.

* I receive this satisfying life that comes through the sacrifice of Jesus in Jesus name.
