Topic: ISOLATION
Text: Genesis 32:24
24: And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25: And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26: And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27: And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28: And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
Though God promised Abraham a great nation, yet it won’t come on the platan of gold. Some people believe that prophesy given to them will come to past without them doing anything about it, not so sir/ma.
Jacob had the best kind of covenant hanging on his destiny yet his life was a struggle: every stage of his life was a struggle starting from his father’s house to Laban’s house until he isolated himself to seek the face of God.
Let me give examples you can relate with: a genius needs to spend sometime to read if he must pass his exams, every star had personal training in the secret that places them ahead of others, everyone who excels in life do something in the secret that places them ahead of others.
I see many people talk about what has been said about them, how their destinies will look like, but in reality their lives are opposite version of the prophesies.
Can I shock you? There were several prophesies in the old testament about Jesus, John the Baptist spoke expressly about his supremacy, yet Jesus wouldn’t begin his ministry without Forty days and Forty night in isolation; seeking the face of God.
See, there is an order for everything in life, and everyone who must steps into greatest must follow the order. If everyone fasts and prays for anything, excuse me, Jesus should be exempted, he had it all before he came.
Look at this scripture Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Jesus knows the importance of isolation.
He knows the best of a man’s life manifests when he is alone, he knows when a man is alone he talks to himself, his spirit-man talks to him, his conscience also talk, every great man with great inspiration in life once shut the door against himself.
Imagine you getting great ideas when you are alone, how much more when you spend quality time seeking the face of God? That’s when and where you get direction into your destiny.
Let me be more explicit here: if God promised me a great business, ministry or whatever, the promise, the prophesy is not enough, he should give me the procedure to attain the height he has promised, and that can only be given when I isolate myself from people and stay with him, that’s what we call waiting upon the Lord, waiting for the procedure to attain the height he promised.
This period of STAYING AT HOME is a good time for what I am sharing here; great will be the outcome. God bless you.
