Topic: A TIME TO SEEK THE LORD
Text : Isaiah 55:6,7.
6: Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Seeking God should be at all times, but most needed when there is trouble. The pandemic in the world today has forced every nation to her knees.
Let me say first of all that though God is in charge of the heavens and the Earth, he is not the author of evil, diseases, pandemic, pestilence. Some people say he sends it to humble the world. God is not wicked to see people die like animals.
You must understand that as long as this world exits, it is not free from evil, it is important you remember that this not the kind of world God created, he created beautiful Eden free from sicknesses and diseases but Adam and Eve thwarted the plan of a beautiful world without pains and stress by their act of disobedience, thereby introducing the whole human race to affliction and oppression.
As far as God is concerned the world is like a dilapidated house and he is not going to renovate it, but demolition it to build another, how do I know this? Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
The evil, diseases, pandemic, pestilence are all indications that world is ending.
In the midst of it all God is committed to saving his people, look this scriptures Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Salvation is of the Lord beloved. Let’s seek the Lord; Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
You can be sure he will save his people just as you do everything to ensure your children are saved.
