Topic: IT’S THE LORD’S GLORY….Part 2
Text: Psalms 3:1-8KJV
1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. 2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill.
In part one, we said that man likes to take glory of the things he achieved in life while some men like to take glory of other people’s lives especially when such had rendered help. Today we want to go a step further to discuss that devil also likes to take the glory of the lives of men.
Devil likes to take glory even when he knows that the glory is God’s. Wherever sorrow, weeping, darkness, pain e.t.c abide, the devil is often glorified. I mean a moment of sorrow, pain, agony, sickness, weeping give glory to the devil and so devil alway specialise in turning certain things in the life of men around so that he can be glorified in it. For example, he could turn a man’s joy into sorrow so that he can take glory in those times of sorrow just like he did to the widow of Nain according to Luke 7:11-17. The woman was already a widow meaning she has lost her husband, now the only thing that gave her Joy and she was grateful to God for was her son but suddenly, death took her son, sorrow and weeping replaced her Joy, and as she weep, mourn and sorrow the devil was taking the glory. Glory be to God in the highest, who stepped in and turned the situation around. The woman encountered Jesus, and Jesus raised the dead boy back to life and God’s name was glorified
Every challenges and difficult times you go through are often the devil’s plot to take over the glory of your life, but understand clearly that all the glory is God’s no matter what happens, Job had this understanding clearly and that was why he never blamed or condemned God for what befell him and God restored him.
Beloved, declare it right now, let the devil knows that the glory over your life is God’s and not to him, declare by faith that God should take all the glory over that circumstances, tell God to glorify himself in that very ugly situation, I tell you the truth that the Almighty will come and turn the situation around that his name be glorified. God bless you
* Father, glorify yourself in every situation of my life in Jesus Name.
