15th March
Text: 2nd Corinthians 12:9 KJV

9 He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

In part thirteen, we discussed about some importance of grace which are grace weakens the power of discouragement and persecution and grace brings peace and joy amidst hardship.

By the grace of God and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we have said much about this topic. Today we want to go a step further discussing how to maximise the grace of God for service.

The very first thing to do to maximise the grace for service is to know your ministry.

It is often said when the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable. If you don’t know the purpose for which God granted you grace to serve, you are very much likely not use it to full capacity that is you are likely to under-use the grace or mis-use the grace. But when you know your ministry, as God releases the grace to serve, you know and understand clearly that the grace is for the work of the ministry, that God’s name be glorified and his purpose accomplished. You must take out time to discover your ministry so that you can function in it and not function in another man’s field.

Beloved, when you have discovered your ministry, the next thing is to function in that area of grace that God has given you to serve. When you function in that area of grace or calling, you are maximising the grace and hence building capacity for the release of greater measures of grace. As you are faithful in using for God the grace he has deposited in you effectively for his glory and for the edification of the body of Christ, God will consider you faithful and worthy to receive more grace.

Therefore beloved, maximise the grace which has been released upon your life and never under-use or mis-use it. God bless you

* Father, help me to maximise your grace upon my life in Jesus Name.
