PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
13th March, 2020.
Topic: MARVELLOUSLY HELPED.
Text: 2 Chronicles 27:3-5

3: Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
4: And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.
5: And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.

Every bit of information in the Bible is relevant, our passage started by telling us the age of Uzziah, he was just 16 years old when he became king and he reigned for 52 years in Jerusalem, he was just a teenager.

Verse 4 tells us about his walk with God, living right was a lifestyle, by living right he attracted God’s hand upon his life. Verse 5 tells us the workings of God in his life; his prosperity became obvious to men.

Uzziah became a great king among Kings in his days, his fame went far, he conquered territories and kingdoms. Great was his achievement because God was with him.

Look verse 7 of our passage: And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gurbaal, and the Mehunims. His enemies could not stand the power of God in his life.

Uzziah enjoyed God’s presence and grace as long as he sought the Lord. His life was a true example of a man who carry God’s presence, look at verse 5: And he sought God in the days Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper. Seeking God was his assignment while blessing him was God’s responsibility.

In verse 10 Uzziah built tower in the desert and dug many wells, desert is defined as an arid land: a land lacking sufficient water and rainfall, but Uzziah got water and dug many wells.

Verses 11-13 talk about the military strength of Uzziah; a great army indeed and verse 14 talks about his armory.

I got the topic from verse 15b: And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong. God’s marvelous help can make a man rise above limitations and make him achieve great things in life.

As God did for Uzziah he can do for any man who seeks him and lives right. Seeking God and living right qualify you for the help of God. God bless you.
