Topic: ENCOUNTER WITH GOD…part 2.
Text : Psalm 105:18,19.
18: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19: Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
God desires to meet with man, one of the ways he does that is through his words. If there is anything God treasures it is his word, our faith is based on his words. The world came to be by his words. Everyone who encounters him does through his word.
Let me quickly do a run down here of a list of Bible prophets:
Elijah; And the word of the Lord came to him, saying 1Kings 17:2
The word of the Lord came to Samuel in 1 Samuel 1.
The word of the Lord came to Joshua in Joshua 1:1.
Joel: The word of the Lord that came to Joel the son of Pethuel. Joel 1:1
Amos: thus saith the Lord. Amos 2:1
Jonah: Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai, saying. Jonah 1:1.
I can continue on and on. Here, I am sharing about Joseph, his life is a good of this discussion, look at our text for today; Pslams 105:18 His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron. His life was hurting until God’s word for his life came, there was pains in his life until the time that ‘ his word ‘ came, the phrase, ‘ his word ‘ refers to Joseph’s word. There is a word for everyone that’s my first point here.
There is God’s word for every situation in your life. Verse 19: Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him. The change of a man comes when his word for change comes from the Lord. It is that word that brings a turn around in the life of a man.
When your word comes, your time comes, when your word comes your victory comes, when your word comes your breakthrough comes, when your word comes your lifting comes. It will shock you to know that God’s word can bring you money. When he speaks you receive miraculous provisions.
When Joseph’s word came the king sent for him in verse 20, he was released from prison, pains will continue if you have not had encounter with God’s word. In verse 21 the king made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance. In verse 22 the king made him a teacher to his senators and put his own children under him.
Many good things happen when your word comes, it comes to release every good thing that has been be stored for you. When your word comes from the Lord for change the yoke of marital delay will be broken no matter how long you have been delayed, your children will come no matter the years of barrenness. In part 3, I will be sharing how to get your word released from God. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* As we wait upon the Lord today, tell him to release your word for change.
