Topic: ENCOUNTER WITH GOD
Text: Jeremiah 29:14 .
14: I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” NLT.
I am talking about man meeting God here, and the scripture I am sharing is one the scriptures that drive me to God’s presence.
The first point here is this; it is possible for man to meet God, I mean you having encounter with God, you can come to a point you feel God’s hand upon your life, as a teenager after spending 3, 4 hours in the place of prayer I feel God’s presence upon my life, I witnessed a good number of souls converted through me.
The second point I want to make is this; what happens when God comes upon your life; of course you can be sure of great things springing forth in you and through your life. Barriers will break before you, light will break forth on your path, breakthrough becomes easy. Let me come out this way; when someone is afflicted by demons you feel affliction around him, in like manner, when God is with a man you see blessings around him.
Encountering God makes a lot of difference in your life, you walk through your challenges easily, mountains will crumble before you. God was will Samson he tore a lion as a man tears a piece of cloth, God was with David killing Goliath just required a stone on a sling, no matter the challenges your victory is ascertained when you have encounter with God.
The third point here is how to have encounter with God, I will jshare 2 ways here and the rest later. Please note that the beginning of encounter with God is giving your life to Christ, accept Jesus as your Lord and savior.
1, Abstain from sin, God can’t put up with sin, sin in your life will not allow God to visit you. It was sin that separated Adam and Eve from God’s presence.
2, Seek God; Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. God makes himself available when we seek him. God himself wants you, he desires relationship with you. Even if your ways have been crooked, he is still interested in you.
Everyone who spends time seeking God through prayer gets him, I am talking from experience, he is committed to those who seek him.
It is another day to seek him fasting and prayer, you can be sure that he will visit you. God bless you.
